SAT Verbal

The SAT Verbal section evaluates a student's ability to read, analyze, and interpret texts, as well as understand grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure in context. This part of the SAT is divided into Reading and Writing & Language components.

In the Reading section, students answer questions based on passages from literature, historical documents, social sciences, and natural sciences. The focus is on reading comprehension, interpreting data, and identifying main ideas and inferences.

The Writing & Language section tests grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and rhetorical skills. Students are expected to edit texts for clarity, style, and correctness.
